Vesna joined Douglas Hoskins Legal in April 2023 and practises in Wills and Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Estate Litigation. Combining her love of Science and her passion for helping people, Vesna completed both a Bachelor of Science (Jurisprudence) and a Bachelor of Laws at Adelaide University in 1998. After completion of her Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice, Vesna was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia in early 1999 and was admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia shortly thereafter.
Vesna worked for many years providing legal advice to and representing the Commonwealth government and since then has practised in an array of legal areas including commercial law in the areas of property law, intellectual property law and contract law. Her litigation experience has spanned most of her career focussing primarily on civil litigation and workers compensation. After making the move away from government in 2018 she has primarily practised in the wills and estates arena. Vesna joins our team as a litigation specialist and is experienced in all aspects of estate planning and administration.
Vesna enjoys helping her clients achieve the best possible outcome in the circumstances, which includes a negotiated outcome in preference to a litigated outcome whenever that is possible. If litigation is the only option, Vesna is a conscientious and methodical lawyer who will take the utmost care in ensuring your matter is prepared for mediation, hearing or trial.
