Julie-Ann Sparkes joined Douglas Hoskins Legal in September 2025 as Special Counsel from a mid-size Adelaide firm. She is an experienced wills and estates lawyer known for her compassionate approach and technical expertise. Julie-Ann can help you navigate complex succession matters with clarity and care.
Julie-Ann’s practice spans the full spectrum of estate planning and estate administration including the preparation of Wills including Testamentary Trust Wills, International Wills, Domicile Statements, Binding Death Benefit Nominations for Superannuation Funds, Powers of Attorney (for individuals and companies), Advance Care Directives as well as complex probate applications. She regularly assists executors and administrators with probate and estate administration including complex matters involving foreign assets or where there are issues with the deceased’s will, such a lost will or rectification of a will application.
Julie-Ann is an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), a member of the Law Society of South Australia’s Succession and Elder Law Committee and is the co-editor of the Law Society’s publication The Last Testament.
As a Notary Public and member of the South Australian Notaries’ Society and Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Notaries, Julie-Ann provides a wide range of notarial services for clients with overseas assets or legal matters involving foreign jurisdictions.
