Georgia studied at the University of Adelaide and completed a Bachelor of Media Studies in 2017 and a Bachelor of Laws in 2018. She was admitted as a Solicitor in May 2019.
Georgia first joined the Douglas Hoskins Legal team in April 2014 and worked as a Law Clerk throughout her studies. She therefore had significant experience before the completion of her degree and being admitted to practise. For this reason Georgia is experienced beyond her years.
Georgia works within the deceased estates team completing applications for Probate and Letters of Administration, as well as assisting clients with general estate administration. Georgia also has a particular interest in Estate Litigation matters and has worked on a variety of interesting and complicated matters in this area of practice.
Georgia is experienced in drafting Wills, Power of Attorneys and Advanced Care Directives. She also assists clients with SACAT applications where there is an issue relating to administration guardianship of a protected person.
Georgia is also a vital part of the Family Law team and assists with property settlement matters, parenting matters and applications for divorce.
Georgia appears regularly in the Supreme Court of South Australia, as well as the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Australia and is therefore familiar with the practice and procedure in these jurisdictions. She has assisted in preparing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) presentations for solicitors on various topics in the areas of family law and estates.
